Waterlyzer project awarded by the DTA at the Hackathon Copernicus

The final of the Hackathon Copernicus organized by Plalanetek Italia and Sprint Lab was held on 7 June, in partnership with DTA And other istituzione. During 3 days, software developers, graphic designers, interface designers, young passionate innovators of data analysis, from different Italian and European regions met virtually to create innovative mobile applications, based on the data and services of the European Copernicus project, dedicated to Earth observation.

  • The first prize was awarded to the Smart Farm start-up which has the mission of supporting farmers thanks to smart irrigation;
  • Second prize was for Fishalytic, a startup whose goal is to support and innovate the aquaculture sector thanks to the integration of Copernicus data with weather data;
  • In third place Waterlyzer, startup with the mission of reducing the waste of water resources, through targeted and timely maintenance of water infrastructures.

The DTA “Diversity” Prize, born from a joint project with the Nereus network and the Copernicus “CordiNet” data network, was virtually delivered by Fiorella Coliolo to the Waterlizer team, to promote the spirit of inclusiveness not only in terms of gender diversity, but also of geographical origin and scientific background and skills.
