2nd workshop of SKEYE Project – Smart and Sustainable Transport Potentiale in Montenegro per l’Urban Air Mobility

Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center Tehnopolis is organizing the Workshop on Smart and Sustainable Transport that will gather all relevant actors interested in discussing Urban Air Mobility Potential in Montenegro on 25th October 2021 in Niksic, Montenegro. The Workshop will be organized with the support of Distretto Tecnologico Aerospaziale (Italy) and Albanian Civil Aviation Authority as the part of the SkEye project.

During the one-day workshop we will discuss potential for innovation in air mobility in Montenegro, with focus on research and incentives for innovation, the existing air mobility infrastructure and the Legal framework in Montenegro for air mobility, especially exploiting Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) and on investment opportunities in Montenegro in the field. Italian and European experiences and best practices in the field of advanced air mobility and urban air mobility will also be presented by Distretto Tecnologico Aerospaziale (Italy).

Participants of the workshop will be representatives of local and national institutions and organizations working in the field of air mobility, but also start-ups, SMEs, universities and researchers interested in working on technologies that will contribute to the development of innovative solutions in air mobility. Participant will be encouraged to discuss the possibilities to create and develop their ideas related to this topic with special focus on innovative urban air mobility solutions that could be applied in current and developing air mobility environment in Montenegro and Niksic.

This workshop will support innovative aerospace environment in Montenegro through comprehensive insight in the European strategy on smart and sustainable transport and specifically on Urban Air Mobility (UAM) that is expected to have positive impact on the development of urban and peri-urban smart cities. UAM is a new safe, secure and more sustainable air transportation system for passengers and cargo in urban environments, enabled by new technologies and integrated into multimodal transportation systems. Therefore, UAM is becoming one of the European priorities that target improvement of quality of life of people, especially those living in congested cities by pushing aerospace technology development.
