From November 12 to 14 in Bari, within the Fiera del Levante exhibition center, the fifth edition of Drones Beyond 2025 will take place — Italy’s most important event dedicated to the testing and demonstration of drone flight. The event is organized by the Aerospace Technological District (DTA) in collaboration with the House of Emerging Technologies (CTE) of the Municipality of Bari, under the patronage of the Apulia Region’s Department of Economic Development and Eurocontrol.
The event highlights the industrialization of Innovative Air Services (IAS), “giving a voice to those who matter most: the end users.” In particular, “their needs and real-life experiences define the challenges that the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and Innovative Air Services industries must address through cutting-edge solutions, integration, and certification.” In Bari, there will also be live demonstrations of drone applications serving citizens.
“Drones Beyond is the largest Italian event dedicated to drone use, featuring demonstration activities and live experiments,” explains Giuseppe Acierno, President and CEO of the DTA. “For years, we have been conducting significant organizational and networking efforts to affirm the central role of drones in the future of aerospace and public services.”
“Once again, Bari and Apulia, thanks to the DTA,” he adds, “return to the European stage by bringing together European institutions, companies, technical bodies, and regulators to share policies, strategies, and collaborations. In this context, our effort also focuses on involving schools and students.”
“A new opportunity for participation,” Acierno concludes, “not only for professionals in the field but also for citizens, who will increasingly see these technologies operating in our everyday lives.”
