On May 25, 2026, the Local Stakeholder Engagement Workshop of the European TERRITORY project took place at the headquarters of the Ionian Sea Port Authority. The initiative was promoted by DTA – Aerospace Technology District in collaboration with the Port Authority and the project’s international partners.

The event was part of a series of territorial workshops aimed at engaging authorities, security operators, and stakeholders in the joint development of operational scenarios and innovative solutions for risk management. The discussion provided a strategic opportunity to gather concrete needs, validate technologies, and strengthen the dialogue between innovation and operational activities.

The workshop was attended by representatives of institutions, security forces, and port operators, together with the President of the Ionian Sea Port Authority, Attorney Giovanni Gugliotti. The meeting followed the workshop organized on May 14 by the Port of Bar in Montenegro, confirming the value of cooperation within the Adriatic-Ionian region.

TERRITORY aims to develop an innovative model based on drones and artificial intelligence for environmental monitoring and emergency management. During the event, advanced technologies for territorial control and surveillance were also presented, reinforcing the role of DTA and the Port of Taranto as hubs of innovation for security and sustainability.
