The international event “Mediterranean Aerospace Matching” is promoted by the Ministry of Economic Development (MISE), Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), Italian Trade Agency (ICE/ITA), Apulia Regional Government, the Regional Ministry for Economic Development and Italian Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC) in the frame of the activities devoted to the promotion and the sustainable development of the area around Taranto, in Apulia region.
The Mediterranean Aerospace Matching represents a “Village” animated by a rich program of conferences and round tables, and it represents an opportunity for innovative SME and start-ups to meet, in the south of Italy, leaders of major aerospace national and European stakeholders, both from institutions and commercial sectors that share interests in the unmanned aerial vehicle development.
The Village includes also a “pitch arena” where start-ups and young entrepreneurs have the opportunity to present their ideas and innovative space solutions. A dedicated jury will award the best projects offering opportunities to join prestigious international incubators, or collaborations with leading companies in the sector.
The conferences will allow to deepen themes ranging from new space challenges, to the evolution of airport infrastructures, from the role of innovative start-ups and SMEs for the economic development of a territory to the technologies, applications and solutions of the unmanned. The latter issue will be addressed in smart cities and the territory, Technology and Solutions and Digital Infrastructure for U-Space / UTM – rules and regulations.
Thanks to the collaboration with ARTI, the Regional Agency for Technology and Innovation, the event will target also high school and university students. They will have the chance to visit the aerospace exhibition, to meet and discuss with representatives of the aerospace industries and learn more about new technologies and professional perspective in aerospace.
Even for the little ones there will be space: the DTA will propose to the elementary and middle schools of Puglia the fifth edition of the “Future Destination” project, which this year will be entitled “all on board … without a pilot”, inviting them to visit and experience the village led by scientific communicators.
