PRACTICE
PRACTICE – Preserving Computation in the Cloud
Objective
Build a secure framework for cloud systems that allows the creation of advanced but usable cryptographic applications, capable of providing security and privacy guarantees to all actors involved in cloud systems.
Contribution of the DTA / Unisalento
Model, prepare and design an innovative collaborative demand forecasting and planning process for the aeronautical supply chain of MRO (fleet management); the new process is enabled by data protection and security technology.
Activities and expected results for the aeronautical sector
- Modeling the collaborative forecasting and planning process from a supply chain perspective;
- Identification of the risks associated with the disclosure of confidential data;
- Measurement of data protection levels;
- Development of an economic impact assessment system, forecasting and planning model;
- Preparation, execution and evaluation of the pilot case.
Benefits for the aviation supply chain:
- More efficient use of resources (staff and equipment) throughout the supply chain;
- Turn Around Time reduction for MRO service;
- Reduction of safety stocks, and reduce warehouse management costs;
- Minor penalties due to service delays;
- Reduction of the total cost of fleet management for the entire supply chain.
Secure Cloud Forecating and Planning System services for the MRO supply chain
- Monitoring of the state of health of the fleet-engines;
- Forecast of the maintenance demand;
- Optimal planning of the overhaul service (reducing the ‘off-wing’ time of the engine), based on the needs of the fleet and the availability of the service;
- Planning of spare parts demand and warehouse status.
